The meaning behind ‘Hokuloa’:
As one of the three most significant celestial bodies of ancient Hawaiian culture, the planet Venus was called Hokuloa, or “great star”. It served as a clock to the native agriculturalists, signaling cultivators to start their farming in the early morning, and later, as an evening star, it guided fishermen home after nightfall.
